Adult Day Services and Independent Living Programs

Our adult day services program and independent living program provide individualized support for adults with disabilities so they may live independent and productive lives. Skill development, education, recreation, and leisure are key components of our day programs at Sunflower Supports Co.

Activities are designed to provide a sense of belongingness and personal reward. We work to increase independence and participation in the community. Our staff is highly trained to provide individual supports to program participants based on their needs, preferences, and Person Centered Support Plans.

Day activities vary and can include gardening in Sunflower Gardens, Meals on Wheels delivery, social outings, arts and crafts, cooking, and other leisure activities.

Residential Services Program

Our residential services program seeks to increase or maintain each customer's independent living skills. Working both individually and in group settings, residential staff assists customers in gaining skills for self-care, social interactions, food preparation, laundry, household chores, and community activities.

Our staff provides supports in our residential program based on the needs and preferences of the men and women we support. Customers in this program lease their own apartments or houses.

Support Specialist

Our support specialists provide individualized services to the men and women we support at Sunflower Supports Co. Support specialists are responsible for addressing the medical, social, and preferred lifestyle needs of our customers.

The duties of our support specialists include managing medical appointments and medications, ensuring access to community activities, and being part of the Person Centered Support Plan team.
